Sherburne Community Chorus rehearsals start Wednesday September 7th.

 

 On the menu for the concert in December (tentatively planned for December 4th) will be the lovely "St. Cecile Mass" also known as "Messe solennelle do Sainte Cecile" by Charles Gounods. This work is described by Melvin Berger in the "Guide to Choral Masterpieces" as containing superb melodies, dramatic use of various operatic devices , and devout, reverential tones that springs from the depths of Gounods faith making it his greatest sacred work.

 

Also on the program will be the exciting work "Gloria" by Anton Vivaldi.

 

 Rehearsals will be at the usual time and place (7:00pm-9:00pm Wednesdays in the SECS high school chorus room)

!!EXCEPT!! >>>> the first rehearsal on the 7th will be held in the SECS elementary school band room.
